The club is delighted to announce that Tom Care has been voted as “Cambridgeshire Young Coach of the Year” for 2014 – richly deserved in view of the immense efforts he puts in at club level for our U13’s and other squads, the summer coaching camps he runs for the club with Dan Tinkler and the success he has had with the county U13 squad he coaches.

As a reward for his achievement, Tom will hopefully be a guest of Sky Sports/ECBCA at an international match later in the summer and will be nominated for regional and national awards, where if successful he would be guest at a Lord’s dinner in the autumn.

He follows in the footsteps of an impressive pantheon of Thriplow-based coaches and volunteers, including Lisa Turner receiving a national award from David “Bumble” Lloyd and is further proof of the immense progress the club has made, at adult and junior level, in the past ten years.

Well done, Tom but could you PLEASE stop bowling your well-dodgy leg-spin??!!
