Thriplow Junior Cricket Annual Presentation - Sun 1st Sept.

28 Aug 2013

This will take place on Sunday 1st September at Fowlmere Village Hall, starting at 4pm. There will be food served (in the form of a traditional cricket tea on a very large scale!!) followed by the presentation ceremony. It's a fitting end to the junior season and is aimed at both players and parents alike so all your family is invited and it would be great to see you all there.

For those of you who are new to the club, or who havent been to such an event before, the format is as follows: The coaches will run a few games of cricket out on the recreation ground at Fowlmere Village Hall for each of the age groups whilst everyone else gathers and has a good chat and the last minute nominations are collected. We then tuck into a fabulous cricket tea. This is traditionally provided for the club by the parents of the U15 players as this will be their last year as junior players and they move on to senior cricket next season. Whilst we are having tea, we will have the presentations where the manager/coach of each age group briefly lists the highs and lows of the season and presentations are made. The event is usually over by 6ish. If it is wet, we will go straight into tea and presentations!!

At these awards there will be trophies awarded for each age group for the Most Improved Player of the year, Clubman of the Year, and Players Player of the Year. For this final category, we need your nominations. If you have played in any matches, please email your coach with your nomination for players player of the year. A nomination form is attached and you can use that or just give the name of your nomination to your coach. We will keep this open until the 1st September.
