Thriplow C were pleased to welcome local Lords & Lady Taverners representatives Ross and Pauline Jakes, together with the Switzerland U15 team to the opening of their new outdoor nets facility on Sunday.
 
After a short speech from Pauline, emphasising her appreciation of the work being done at Thriplow to support the growth of junior and, in particular, girls cricket, TCC Chairman Chris Neild commented:
 
Thriplow is a successful village cricket club running three adults sides in the men’s Cambridge leagues, a ladies team in the Cambridgeshire Women’s’ League plus junior teams at all age groups from U9 through to U15 level.
 
We thus provide opportunities in cricket for both sexes at all ages and for all abilities from those starting out in the game through to our regular crop of players in both the boys and girls county sides.

And donations from within the club
 
They were transformed into reality by Club Turf Limited and a Thriplow CC team led by Nick Cliffe, Lisa and Dickon Turner and are now used most days of the week by our adult teams and our 130 junior cricketers.
