As you will recall, at the end of the season  the 1s just missed out on promotion from Whitings 2, finishing agonisingly second to winners Granta 2.

With, as it appeared at the time, only one side going up, another season in Whitings 2 beckoned.  However, in the post season shakeout - including a revision to the league structure for 2019 with the formation of three Whitings divisions - the 1s have secured that elusive promotion slot and will now play in Whitings 1 in 2019.

This is great news and leaves the club’s senior side playing in its highest division ever, a long way from 20 years ago when it was way down in the junior leagues !

As with every promotion we hope to strengthen the squad over the winter - so please tell your friends about us and encourage them to come and join the Thriplow daffs !
